If you say this to yourself whenever someone mentions couponing, then head over to my sister Melinda's new blog about saving money on natural and organic food and products.

I really like it, not just because my sister does it, but because she does the work for me. I'm not lazy, per se, but it's always nice when someone else does all the leg work.

For example, the only dishwasher detergent I will use now is 7th Generation, because it's the only one I've either used or made myself in the last three years that actually gets my dishes clean without leaving nasty crap behind. 7th Generation is stingy with the coupons. Melinda found a deal going on with Real Simple magazine where if you clicked on their sample rooms for cleaning ideas, you could get printable 7th Generation coupons. Melinda posted a list of which coupons were in which room, so I got a coupon for $2.00 off of 2 products. At her encouragement, I shopped around for the best deal on their powdered dishwasher detergent and found that everyone pretty much charges the same price, but Target 's box is 75oz instead of 45oz. I bought two boxes with the coupon, and I got 150oz for $9.98 instead of 45oz for $5.99. So, I got my natural dishwasher detergent for 0.07 cents an ounce instead of 0.13 cents an ounce. I put the blame squarely on Melinda.
Slowly but surely, I am becoming a couponer. It's kinda creepy. Ever seen the Bones episode where a cashier finally loses it and starts to beat an extreme couponer?
However, it is nice to get a good deal on something I actually buy, instead of seeing all these coupons for Betty Crocker cookie mix and press-on nails and other stuff we would never buy.
Right now they are called
Green Mamas but they are moving from the blog to their own domain so they will be called
My Green Table. Go check it out and become a follower!
